Since August 1, 2022, we – KANSAI HELIOS Wefa (formerly Westdeutsche Farben GmbH) – are an official member of the KANSAI HELIOS Group and the globally operating KANSAI PAINT Group. In addition to KANSAI HELIOS Germany, our company is thus the group’s second location in Germany.

Under the umbrella of KANSAI HELIOS, KANSAI HELISO Wefa will continue its business operations at its current location in Essen. As a full member of the group, we have access to the modern laboratories and experienced research and development teams within the group. This opens up completely new possibilities in product design and testing. The long-time owner of Westdeutsche Farben GmbH, Robert Schramm, will also remain in the new company’s management for the long term.

KANSAI HELIOS is one of the leading industrial coatings manufacturers. By joining the group, we are taking an important strategic step for the “wefa” brand. We can use the synergies within the international coatings group and at the same time contribute our core competencies in the areas of railway coatings and ACE coatings (agricultural, construction and earthmoving machinery). Together with Rembrandtin, we bundle the entire know-how in the field of rail vehicle coatings – worldwide.
